I. The ark was provided at a time when death threatened all. Genesis 6:11-14

II. The ark was a refuge which was provided by God. Genesis 6:13, 14

III. The ark was the only known refuge for that age. Genesis 6:17-18

IV. The ark was an absolutely safe refuge. Genesis 7:10-16

V. The ark brought salvation to all who came into it. Genesis 7:15-20

VI. The ark provided no salvation to those who remained outside. Genesis 7:21-23

VII. The ark offered no hope when the door was shut. Genesis 7:16
