Introduction: Hate had done its worst. Angels announced his birth now his resurrection. Hope for all who are dead in Christ. Christ became the first fruits for them that slept. - 1 Corinthians 15:20
1. Christ's resurrection is the pillow and ground of the Christian faith. - 1 Corinthians 15:13-14; 17-20
2. His victory over death is the inspiration of the Christian hope. We look not at the grave but beyond it.
3. The Christ emptied tomb clears the future of mystery.
4. The Christ emptied tomb is our comfort in sorrow. - 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58
5. It pledges our immortality - 1 Cor. 15:53 - beyond death is life - Rev. 1:17-18
6. The empty tomb assures the Christian of a new body.
7. The empty tomb assures us of vision - 1 Corinthians 13:12
8. The empty tomb is our assurance of reaching the lamb lighted city of God. - Rev. 21:23
9. The empty tomb assures us of heavenly fellowship. - 1 Thess. 4:16-14; Titus 2:13-1
