Important Lessons From Call of Abraham - Genesis 12

Call that came to Abraham comes to all of us Christians

1. The call for absolute confidence in God - The call to take Him at His word and step out in simple and unquestioning faith. The call to separate ourselves from the world to live a life of pilgrimage in dependency upon Jehovah.

2. The trial of Abraham's faith is the lot of all of His children. Profession must be tested. Abraham's failure a warning against being occupied with circumstances instead of with God.

3. Beware of going down to Egypt. Enmity against God - wasted time

4. In failures of Abraham - see yours - moved at His mercy.
