God's Word

I have finished with Genesis for right now. I thought since I started with the first book in the Old Testament that I should move on the the first book in the New Testament. Granddaddy had tons of sermons from the book of Matthew.

God's Word
Matthew 4:4
Sermon by Jack Nazary - West Jackson Baptist Church 1989 and

2. Sanctifies Me - John 14:17
Separation to God - Set aside
- the life befitting those so separated
Separation of the believer from evil things and ways
It's God's will and purpose for believers
It's taught by Word (by thy truth)
It's to be pursued by the believer as he is obedient to the Lord.
Holy Spirit is the agent of sanctification = "Saints" "Holy Ones"

2. Search it - "Search the scriptures" - John 5:39
3. Feed on it - "I did eat them" - Jeremiah 15:16
4. Hold fast to it - Titus 1:9
5. Preach it - II Timothy 4:2
6. Meditate on it - Psalm 119:15
